Dr. Hsi's research laboratory is fully committed to addressing clinicopathological questions. With a long-term collaboration with industrial sponsors, the research laboratory performs pre-clinical studies. These studies focus on the exploration, investigation and functional analysis of therapeutic cancer drugs and biomarkers. The laboratory also focuses on exploring tests to diagnose and classify hematologic malignancy. The laboratory is fully equipped to perform automated immunohistochemistry/immunofluorescence staining, flow-cytometry-based assays, handling of both primary specimens and cell lines, and characterization of patient-derived xenograft mouse models. Lab members include Xiaoxian Zhao, PhD, and Mariana Diniz, MS. These two work closely with pathologists, oncologists, research scientists and industrial sponsors. The team is open to collaborating with others.
