Online Graduate Programs
Meeting the ongoing training needs for those wishing to pursue an online degree program to advance their careers.
Clinical Research Management (MS and Certificates)
Wake Forest’s online degree program in Clinical Research Management (MS and certificates) focuses on the integration of clinical research and patient care, with the end goal of preparing graduates to play a key role in helping to bring innovative treatments to market in a timely, cost-effective manner. The primary objective of the program is to train and mentor well-qualified clinical research professionals and leaders that move the research and development process forward to advance health. Students will learn in an innovative, engaging, supportive, and interdisciplinary online environment.
All programs are designed to accommodate working professionals, allowing them to enroll while maintaining their employment. Enrolled MS students do need to commit to a minimum of 5 academic terms (20 months) in our online program. A decelerated plan of study may be an option; that plan allows students to move at a slower pace, with fewer courses per term. Enrolled Graduate Certificate students should expect to commit to a minimum of 3 academic terms (12 months) to the online program. MS and certificate students can start in either the summer or fall terms for more flexible degree planning.
Translational and Health System Science (MS and Certificates)
Wake Forest’s online degree program in Translational and Health System Science (MS and certificates) provides a unique constellation of methodological and professional skills to implement rigorous research in the health care system and the community to disseminate findings that improve human health. Training in our program has evolved over the past 30 years to meet the evolving needs of clinical and health system researchers wishing to expand their skill set and become independent scientists.
All enrolled MS students do need to commit to a minimum of 3 academic terms in this virtual program. We offer an accelerated 12-month curriculum for those who can devote their time solely to the graduate program. We also offer a 21-month full-time option and part-time enrollment.
The program has two specific tracks: Clinical and Translational Investigation, and Learning Health System Science, as well as a corresponding graduate certificate in each track. Each MS student is required to select a track and meet its requirements to successfully complete the program.
