    Northwest AHEC

    The Northwest Area Health Education Center (NW AHEC) is an educational outreach and training program designed to enhance the health of the public in its 17-county region by improving the supply, distribution and quality of health and human service personnel—especially in primary care—through diverse community and academic partnerships.

    • Northwest AHEC

      Northwest AHEC of the Wake Forest School of Medicine is one of nine regional centers of the NC AHEC Program.  We collaboratively partner to offer support across the continuum of health professions education.

    • Health Careers and Workforce Diversity

      Our health careers area provides exposure to health professions for students in grades 9-12.

    • Student and Preceptor Support

      NW AHEC’s student and preceptor services help facilitate the teaching of primary care students in ambulatory settings.
