Transportation to facilities not on scheduled routes is available by contacting Van Services Dispatch at 716-RIDE (716-7433). Requests are placed in a service queue as they are received and will be completed by the next available driver. Travel time depends on the number of requests at that time.
Van service is available Monday through Friday, 7:45 am to 5:30 pm, not including holidays. The final WFU Route departure is from Eden Terrace at 5:15 pm.
Around the Community
Biking is popular as a way to get around town and as a fitness activity. Winston-Salem continuously works to improve the environment for bicycling, and the city’s website offers many resources, route information and a newsletter. The National Cycling Center, located near Innovation Quarter, also serves as a resource and supports the Winston-Salem Bike Share Program.
For traveling farther afield in the city and surrounding area, the Winston-Salem Transit Authority offers bus service that includes night and weekend routes and routes to Greensboro and High Point via the Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation. WSTA’s Transportation Center is conveniently located downtown, not far from Innovation Quarter.
Parking
Students and employees must have official parking decals for their vehicles if they plan to park at Innovation Quarter. Those who plan to drive their own vehicle when traveling between Innovation Quarter and the Winston-Salem Campus or another WFBMC location must have parking decals for both locations.
