There is more to life than work and school, and we encourage students to sample what Winston-Salem has to offer. Whether you are single or have a family, the quality of life and culture in the city make it a great community in which to live, learn and work.

Housing

The School of Medicine does not provide any student housing, but there are several affordable options within walking or bicycling distance of the Winston-Salem Campus, as well as residences within Innovation Quarter. Housing costs will vary depending on the accommodations.

Religious Life

Winston-Salem is home to a variety of religious organizations that support many different faiths. The city’s history with the Moravian church is reflected throughout the community, and the Moravian star is frequently used as decoration.
