Qualified candidates with research interests in the following areas of work are encouraged to apply for postdoctoral or graduate student positions in our group:
- radiation biology
- redox biology
- cell signaling and metabolism in cancer
- quantitative mass spectrometry analyses of biological samples
- networks analysis
Successful candidates will be responsible for conducting experiments, collecting, analyzing and interpreting data, as well as assisting with data preparation for manuscript publication.
Our laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art mass spectrometers (e.g., Thermo Orbitrap Velos Pro with ETD), which we use to investigate the effects of perturbations (e.g. oncogenic mutations, oxidation, changes in pH) on signaling and metabolic networks.
The laboratory is involved in clinical research as well, providing an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking a career in translational research. Applications for this position should include a statement of research interests, CV, name and contact information of three references, and should be sent to Cristina M. Furdui, PhD, at cfurdui@wakehealth.edu.
