The AHWFBCCC has sixteen disease groups (DGs) with the purpose of translating clinical, population and basic research and providing a venue for transdisciplinary and inter-programmatic collaboration to promote the advancement of the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer in accordance with the AHWFBCCC’s Vision and Mission.

Comprehensive Cancer Center Disease Group Leadership
The DGs are led by a Co-Leader and Co-Associate Leader on both campuses of AHWFBCCC, in Winston-Salem (WS) and Charlotte (CLT), North Carolina.
