The Human Pathology Lab provides support for routine histological, histochemical, and immunohistochemical applications for tissues specifically collected for cancer research.
The Human Pathology Lab also offers the expertise of a certified pathologist for:
- Initial consultation for design of a project
- Specific needs for tissue processing
- Interpretation of data
- Support for grant applications
- Histopathology services: processing, embedding, cutting, H&E stain
- Banked formalin-fixed paraffin embedded tumor and matched normal tissue (>1200 blocks)
- Special stains (eg. trichrome, Congo red)
- Immunohistochemistry (eg. immune cell markers, cytokeratins, proliferation markers, dual stains)
- Case selection and tumor assessment
- Pathology consultation
