Early Assurance Program

Early Assurance Program

Our Early Assurance Program (EAP) puts Wake Forest undergraduates on the fast track to medical school.

Well-qualified Wake Forest University undergraduates, upon completion of their sophomore year, may apply for acceptance through the EAP, which allows them to enter medical school at the completion of their senior year. The deadline for this program is October 15.

You must have an overall GPA of 3.5 and an overall science GPA of 3.5 (verified each semester in school), and have completed half of the following courses. Effective for the 2019 cycle, the MCAT is required.  Applicants accepted will be done so on a conditional basis and will be required to submit a MCAT test score of a 509 or higher prior to matriculation. The remaining courses should be completed prior to matriculation. Other recommended coursework includes those listed under the general academic requirements for the School of Medicine.

Only current Wake Forest University undergraduates are eligible to apply to the Early Assurance Program.
