About Me

My name is Michelle and I am originally from Texas. I went to medical school at Texas Tech in Lubbock and couples matched here with my husband who is an internal medicine resident. The first thing that drew me to this program was the people. I really enjoy the collaborative environment here at Wake Forest and within the first few months of living here I already felt at home. I am currently interested in palliative medicine, but still have many other growing interests within family medicine. In my free time, I enjoy hiking in the beautiful mountains nearby, exploring new restaurants, hanging out with my friends and co-residents, and playing at home with my cats!
