Lifelong Learning Series
The HPEI Lifelong Learning Series consists of quarterly Education Grand Rounds, biannual Education Workshops, and an annual Educator Conference:
- Disseminate best-practice in health professions education instruction
- Provide a forum for faculty, staff, and trainees to disseminate their teaching scholarship
- Promote networking and collaboration across the training programs including the Schools of Medicine, Physician Assistant Program, Pharmacy Program, CRNA Program, and nursing education
Annual Educator Conference
The annual educator conference brings together educators from all health professions training programs, including: MD, PA, CRNA, Pharmacy, Nursing, and others. This conference is a valuable learning and professional development opportunity for clinical educators, faculty, graduate educators, course directors, program directors, clerkship directors, small group facilitators, students, or anyone who shares a passion for healthcare education.
The conference program will include a keynote address, as well as breakout skill development sessions, a virtual poster session, and oral presentations from top-scoring abstracts. All sessions will highlight educators, showcasing their innovations and scholarship, as well as offer participants an opportunity to network throughout. Awards will be presented to the highest-scoring abstracts and to winners of the Excellence in Teaching Scholarship Awards. CME credit hours will be available.
Education Grand Rounds
This is a CME-approved quarterly lecture series designed to disseminate
- New approaches to health professions education.
- Provide a forum for discussion of new techniques and approaches to health professions education.
- Bring together and build networks of educators, clinicians, and trainees from across the enterprise.
Education Workshops
These CME-approved workshops are skill-building where educators leave with a new skill, new teaching technique, or evidence-based teaching practice. Many workshops are spin-offs of an Education Grand Rounds topic and provide an opportunity for grand rounds attendees to “continue the conversation” in a more in-depth development opportunity quarterly lecture series designed to disseminate.
