I had an idyllic childhood in the mountains of Western NC and East Tennessee—full of boat races in the creek, exploring the woods around my house with my two brothers, and Woolly Worm Festivals.
I graduated from Milligan College (go Buffs!) where I played soccer and studied Biology and Humanities, and then attended the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, TN. For residency, I headed north to Lawrence Family Medicine Residency in Lawrence, MA, where I learned Spanish from my patients and learned medicine from my incredibly passionate and skilled co-residents and faculty.
I was initially attracted to geriatrics because of the patients on my panel, but also fell in love with the flavor of medicine needed to give quality geriatric care. I am excited to learn this quality care from the exceptional folks at the Geriatric Fellowship program!
