After Residency

Residents who complete the Internal Medicine training program at Wake Forest are very competitive for fellowships all across the country at some of the most prestigious programs. They are well prepared to enter any sub-specialty program as well as embarking on a career as an internist or hospitalist. Many residents choose to stay at Wake Forest for both of these career paths and successfully interview for faculty positions or sub-specialty fellowships.
