Our Mission
We catalyze the translation of research into real world policy and practice to improve population health.

The Department of Implementation Science will focus on three core areas of inquiry and translation:

  • The use of health services research to identify opportunities for improved care delivery, prioritizing organizational, health systems and policy gaps and solutions.
  • Identifying efficacious, efficient and cost-effective solutions to implementing the best and most promising health care and public health practices.
  • Testing implementation and dissemination strategies to more efficiently and effectively translate evidence-based strategies into real world clinical and population health settings.

The integration of our research findings into clinical settings improves the health of our communities, region and nation. Our expertise in pragmatic trials, cluster randomized trials, qualitative methodology, stakeholder engagement, digital health, organizational theory and behavior support our Academic Learning Health System.

Members of our department work collaboratively across our institution's nationally recognized centers:

Center for Biomedical Informatics and Systems Biology Center for Healthcare Innovation
Center for Substance Abuse and Addiction
