The Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program at Wake Forest School of Medicine is ACGME accredited and provides specialized opportunities in for those interested in obstetrics and gynecology.

In addition to having an Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship program in our department, we have outstanding subspecialty representation in:

  • Reproductive endocrinology and infertility
  • Gynecologic oncology
  • Maternal fetal medicine

During their residency, residents have access to multiple affiliated hospital and ambulatory locations, as well as the Labor and Delivery Unit, which is three miles away at Forsyth Medical Center and boasts more than 7,000 deliveries a year. Learn more about our locations and facilities.

Residents are required to actively participate in a research or scholarly project. Our innovative research approach allows our residents to conduct research within our own department as well as with mentors from other areas within the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
