About Me

I am an Obstetrician and Gynecologist originally from Cairo, Egypt, and am deeply committed to advancing minimally-invasive surgery and patient-centered care. I earned my medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College and completed my residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. Following my residency, I dedicated four years to rural Wisconsin, specializing in minimally-invasive gynecology procedures.

Driven by a pursuit of excellence, I underwent advanced training in urogynecology at Wake Forest and now serve as a faculty member at the institution. I find great fulfillment in mentoring fellows, residents, and medical students, particularly in the operating room, and as the Urogynecology Clerkship Director, I contribute to shaping the future of gynecological care through education.

My research focuses on surgical costs, simulation/training, and clinical outcomes-based research in prolapse, interstitial cystitis, and endometriosis. I've presented my findings at national and international conferences, earning prestigious awards such as the SGS Fellow Scholar Award and Resident Research Award. Additionally, I actively contribute to the field by serving as a peer reviewer for esteemed publications like Urogynecology, Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology, and International Journal of Urogynecology.
