The Department of Neurosurgery at Wake Forest School of Medicine is dedicated to training neurosurgeons through our residency, spine fellowship and clerkship programs. The program offers training in many subspecialties, as well as opportunities to participate in related research.
With an active basic science and clinical research program the Neurosurgery Research Laboratory studies:
- Neuronal plasticity in trauma, stroke and epilepsy
- Cerebral edema
- Increased intracranial pressure
- Flow cytometry of brain tumors
- Cerebrospinal fluid shunt immunology
