PTS provides investigators access to a scalable team of expert research veterinary clinicians and surgeons and highly trained technical staff who partner with faculty to conduct preclinical research protocols and ultimately improve patient outcomes. Whether the study is grant-funded or industry-sponsored, our team is ready to support the success of your preclinical study. We provide high-caliber clinical veterinary, investigative surgical and technical expertise, as well as advice about study design and animal model development. We are experienced in large-animal models such as pigs, sheep and nonhuman primates. We offer whatever level of support you need, including as-needed technical assistance, surgical procedures, clinical care and oversight, or coordinating all aspects of the preclinical study in collaboration with you.

- GLP Compliant Surgical Facility located on the Clarkson Campus with the following capabilities and equipment
- Observation Room, two fully equipped fluoroscope-compatible surgery tables, steam / ETO sterilizers, isoflurane / sevoflurane anesthesia, air / oxygen mixtures, nitrogen, ventilators, standard and extensive monitoring capabilities: heart rate, respiratory rate, pulse oximetry, end-tidal CO2, electrocardiography, noninvasive arterial blood pressure, direct arterial blood pressure, central venous pressure, fluid / syringe pumps, cautery, suction, blood gas/electrolyte analyzers, warming blankets, fluoroscopy (C-arm), portable X-Ray, endoscopy, laparoscopy, bronchoscopy, and ophthalmic equipment.

- Ultrasound (Clarkson Campus), CT imaging (Clarkson Campus). Future imaging capabilities at the Clarkson Campus will include PET/CT/MR (currently accessible at the Hawthorne Campus for animals residing at the Clarkson Campus).
