The Radiology Scholars Certificate Program (RSCP) is an optional experiential learning module that augments the pre-clinical MD curriculum at the School of Medicine. RSCP promotes and recognizes achievement in fundamental radiology concepts while enhancing students’ proficiency when interpreting medical imaging and increasing student competitiveness for the residency Match.
Students invest 25+ hours over their first and second year of medical school to meet the requirements of the program, which culminates in a final Capstone Presentation event judged by a panel of radiology residents.
Nationwide, the RSCP is the first program of its kind implemented alongside a medical school curriculum for undergraduate medical students. Having won several national awards for its innovative approach, RSCP serves as an exemplary model and framework that other programs have already begun to adopt.
