The Adult Reconstruction Fellowship Program at Wake Forest University School of Medicine serves to prepare fellows for a career as a clinical or academic adult reconstruction surgeon. Our program provides a balance of operative experience and clinical time, as well as protected research time.

Program Goals
The fellowship is designed to provide a complete experience in total joint education and in depth understanding of the treatment of complex arthroplasty problems. We want to provide the educational building blocks to lay a foundation for the management of any pathology that one will encounter in practice. At the completion of fellowship, you should be able to:
- Evaluate patients and develop treatment pathways
- Determine surgical indications
- Medically optimize patients for surgical intervention
- Formulate and execute surgical plans
- Complete at least one, publishable paper
