Applicants from MS, MA, PhD, or certificate programs are eligible to apply. Applicants must have completed all required didactic requirements outlined in AAPM Reports 197 and 197S prior to admission into the residency program. Applicants must submit graduate school/certificate program transcripts upon application to the residency program.
For 2023, the program is currently accepting applications for the Charlotte Region residency position.
Starting in 2024, the residency program will participate in the MedPhys Match program offered through National Matching Services. Applicants must apply through the Medical Physics Residency Application Program (MP-RAP) and register for the MedPhys Match.
The annual salary for medical physics residents is derived from the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center salary scale for medical residents. For example, the 2022-2023 annual medical physics resident salaries are $58,301 for PGY1 and $60,381 for PGY2.
Depending on which regional residency slot they are accepted into, residents will be an employee of either Atrium Health or Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist.
