Student Advocacy

Students, Faculty, and practicing PAs from Wake PA and numerous other PA programs in North Carolina attended the 2023 PA Day at the Legislature in Raleigh, NC.

This was an excellent opportunity to advocate for the PA Profession by meeting with legislators to protect PA scope of practice.

Community Outreach

Boone and Winston-Salem students from the class of 2024 participated in the North Carolina Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) event. This outreach activity collectively showed more than a thousand middle and high school students (from diverse backgrounds) how PAs practice medicine alongside our physician colleagues. The students were able to show off their physical exam skills and convinced many young students to consider becoming a PA one day!
