About Me

I began my career at Wake Forest 30-plus years ago with the Department of Comparative Medicine focusing on the use of male and female nonhuman primates as models of coronary heart disease.

At the Institute, my research focus is on the use of male and female cynomolgus monkeys as models to study lower urinary tract diseases and use regenerative medicine approaches to find treatments. I am NIH funded to explore cell and chemokine therapies for urinary incontinence and post-prostatectomy erectile dysfunction and I have been actively involved in Armed Forces Institute of Regenerative Medicine projects to regenerate the lower urinary tract for wounded warriors.
