Next Steps for Enrollment

If you’ve received notification of your acceptance, complete the steps below to enroll at WFU Graduate Students of Arts & Sciences. The deadlines to complete these steps are:

Summer 2019 Deadline (BMSC-PH only) May 15, 2019
Fall 2019 Deadline July 15, 2019
Spring 2020 Deadline (BMSC-PH only) January 3, 2020

Next Steps for Enrollment

  • Confirm your plans to enroll via the application portal
    • MS Programs: See date referenced on offer letter
    • PhD Programs: April 15 (unless otherwise noted on the official offer letter)
  • Save the Date for Orientation:
    • Summer 2019: May 21, 2019
    • Fall 2019: August 7, 2019
    • Spring 2020: January 8 and 9, 2020
  • Submit official transcripts to the Graduate Office.

  • Join the Incoming Student Facebook Group for your class:
  • Complete Criminal Background Check and Submit Immunization Records

Pre-Orientation Training and Forms

  • Approximately 30-90 days prior to orientation, incoming students will receive their Medical Center ID and Password via the application portal
  • Students will also receive instructions on how to access the PeopleSoft Self Service Student Center to complete their required compliance documents.

To help minimize presentation times at orientation, students will also be sent instructions on how to access videos that have been prepared to help introduce students to services and resources at the graduate school. Students should view each of the following videos and submit the verification form by the deadline provided:

  • Core Facilities and Instrumentation
  • Counseling and Wellness Services
  • Disability Services
  • Environmental Health & Safety
  • Safety, Security, and the Clery Act
  • Title IX (Sexual Misconduct)
  • Disability Grievances (Section 504)
  • Student Affairs Resources – Spiritual Care Advisor
  • Student Affairs Resources
  • HIPPA and Privacy

Orientation Day

At orientation, you will receive training and more information on the following:

  • Your Wake Health email account and laptop (if applicable)
  • Your Student ID card
  • Graduate School Honor Code
  • Course Registration and login to Student Center
  • Drug Screening
  • Student Health Insurance (and forms for enrollment)

A detailed agenda will be shared two weeks prior to orientation.
