About Me

I was born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi. I’m a proud triple gator as my formal studies began and ended at the University of Florida (Go Gators) where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and Cell Science, followed by a Master of Public Health degree with a focus in epidemiology, and eventually, my medical degree. The next chapter of my education took me to Boston for residency training in Emergency Medicine at the Harvard-affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency of Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Academically, my interests lie at the intersection of Emergency Medicine, Palliative Care, and Geriatrics. I find the dynamics of providing care in critical moments to be both challenging and rewarding. I’m looking forward to learning how best to deliver care to patients with life-limiting illness during fellowship in hospice and palliative medicine. Beyond the hospital walls, I enjoy reading, binging Netflix, trying new restaurants and traveling to new cities and countries with my wife, Alaina. We also love hiking and spending the weekends outdoors making North Carolina our dream destination. I am so excited to continue my training in North Carolina at Wake Forest University.
