About Me
I was born in Utah but spent the majority of my adolescence in central Michigan. I returned to Utah for college at Brigham Young University where I tried to spend as much of my time backpacking, hiking, running, and mountain biking as I did studying. I finished school with a degree in neuroscience and a minor in mathematics. Medical school took me back to the midwest where I attended the University of Iowa in Iowa City. I love to spend my free time with my wife and one-year-old daughter. I also enjoy board games, Nintendo Switch, college sports (mostly football and basketball), and anything outside. I am excited to train at an institution that consistently produces excellent ophthalmologists - and being driving distance from both the Appalachian Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean isn’t bad either.
