Congratulations to Dalane W. Kitzman, MD, Kermit Glenn Phillips II Chair and Professor of Cardiology at the Wake Forest School of Medicine, for receiving the 2021 Michael L. Pollock Established Investigator Award from the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) in recognition of his outstanding work in the field of cardiac rehabilitation.

Pollock Established Investigator Award is presented to an individual who has made significant advances in the field of cardiac rehabilitation through his/her research and scholarly contributions and has earned national prominence in his/her field through contributions in contemporary research and/or education.
As the winner of this award, Dalane also participated in the Award Recipients Showcase presentation as part of the meeting, featuring 20-minute, TEDTalk style presentations by the L. Kent Smith Award of Excellence recipient, the Michael L. Pollock Established Investigator Award recipient, and the Thomas L. Petty Distinguished Pulmonary Scholar Award recipient.
The AACVPR is a multidisciplinary professional association comprised of health professionals who serve in the field of cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation.
