About Me
I am a professor of biochemistry and chair of the Biochemistry Department at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
My training is in clinical medicine and molecular biology. I am the principal investigator studying the pathogenesis of diabetic vascular complications and age-related macular degeneration and identifying therapeutic targets for these diseases.
I received my medical degree at Jiangxi Medical College in China and my doctorate in biochemistry and molecular biology at the Medical University of South Carolina.
