Fellows participate in the care of inpatients and outpatients with

  • Traumatic brain injury
  • Spinal cord injury
  • Neuromuscular disorders

Outpatient opportunities include

  • Spasticity management with botulinum toxin injection or intrathecal baclofen pumps
  • Interventional pain management clinic
  • Cancer rehabilitation
  • Musculoskeletal medicine
  • Brain injury clinic
  • Other neurological conditions
  • Fellows follow up clinic of patients treated on the inpatient rehabilitation unit

Conferences and Didactics

Our training program includes regularly scheduled didactic conferences and monthly journal club provided by our Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation attending physicians and outside speakers from other specialties and disciplines. The fellows will have opportunities to spend elective time in

  • Interventional pain management
  • Pediatric neurorehabilitation
  • Musculoskeletal medicine

Inpatients are treated in a state-of-the-art rehabilitation hospital and consults in the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
