Clinical Skills Peer Teaching (CSPT) |
To help support the M1s in preparing for their Clinical Skills Exam by allowing them to practice their history-taking and physical exam maneuvers under the supervision of an M3/M4. For the sake of participant numbers and with the guidance of upper-level students, M2 students may also participate. |
Cost Conscious Care |
The goal of our certificate program is to cultivate a more equitable and affordable health system by training medical students to present financial realities in an informational and empowering way. The goal of cost conversations should be to strengthen the doctor-patient alliance, and clinical decision-making should be cost-considered, but not cost-centric. |
Culinary Medicine Certificate Program |
Through integration of current research, service, and hands-on training, the Culinary Medicine Certificate will give participants the tools and knowledge to improve patient care. The Culinary Medicine Certificate will use a patient-centered approach to inform participants of strategies to counsel patients on nutrition and diet. |

PhysioCamp |
One of the founding missions is to promote interest in the healthcare field, especially within underserved populations. In doing so, the hope is to increase the healthcare workforce, and empower these communities by increasing representation within the field. This goal applies to rural communities, minority communities, and underserved populations in general. Though the camp is designed to reach underserved students in particular, any student can attend the Physiology Camp. The events will cater to the middle school population in Winston-Salem in order to address the need for service in this age range. |
Preserving Quality and Meaning in Life Scholars Program |
