CERTL’s comprehensive professional development allows educators to discover and apply teaching strategies that engage students and motivate them to achieve.

CERTL’s systemic approach builds instructional capacity through the following activities:

  • Standards for course quality and instruction establish consistency across a system. These impact everyday instruction and allow instructors to support authentic learning experiences for students.
  • Inquiry-based strategies and resources, such as problem-, project-, and competency-based learning (PBL) that are aligned to instructional standards, provide teachers more time to support student achievement.
  • Implementation coaching extends support and guidance for the specific challenges instructors may face when applying inquiry-based learning (IBL) methodology in their classrooms or online courses.
  • Leadership support focuses on enabling school and program leaders to communicate clear, consistent instruction while monitoring and supporting its implementation.
