On March 18, graduates of the Wake PA program from the Classes of 1971–1975 were inducted into the esteemed Bowman Gray Society, commemorating their 50-year milestone in medicine. They are the first PAs recognized by the Society, which had previously honored MD program graduates on the 50th anniversary of their degree conferrals.

The ceremony and luncheon were held at The Barn at Reynolda Village. Jim Gray, grandson of James Gray Jr. and the great-nephew of Bowman Gray Sr., for whom the Bowman Gray Center for Medical Education is named, presented each inductee with a hand-crafted medallion bearing the Wake Forest University seal and the likeness of Bowman Gray.

Dr. Ebony Boulware, Dean of Wake Forest University School of Medicine and Chief Science Officer and Vice Chief Academic Officer of Advocate Health, Kathy F. Black, PA-C '01, President of the Wake PA Alumni Board, and Lisa M. Marshall, Vice President for Philanthropy and Alumni Relations at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, delivered remarks to help commemorate the occasion.
