The HPEI Educator Conference is intended for faculty, staff, students, residents, fellows, physicians, and providers who are interested in teaching and training in the health professions. This includes medical, physician assistant, nursing, graduate, and other student or trainee instruction. The conference features best-practice updates, evidence-based teaching, opportunities for networking with educators, and thoughtful discussions about how we train current and future generations of medical and biomedical professionals. This is a great opportunity for faculty, staff, and students passionate about teaching to connect with other educators. The conference includes original research and breakout sessions for teachers and clinicians from all areas of medical and biomedical education from all programs, all campuses, and all areas.

Bio:
Karl Wold is a proud alumnus of the Wake Forest University School of Medicine class of 2022. He is thrilled to be back amongst his many teachers, who demonstrated everyday what it means to be a capable and compassionate physician. In his time at Wake, he served as chair of the Honor Council and helped run a group connecting homeless residents of Winston-Salem to care during the early days of the pandemic. He is now in his third year of neurology residency at the Mass General Brigham program in Boston, Massachusetts. He plans to pursue a fellowship in movement with further academic interests in teaching and global health.
