Hematopathology Rotation

Hematology/Hematopathology training for WFBMC AP/CP residents is a multifaceted program designed to instruct the resident in the methods used for detection, analysis and measurement of hematologic specimens, for interpretation and diagnosis of hematopoietic disorders. The overall curriculum consists of three specific educational and training components:

  1. one month of Basic Hematology
  2. three months of Hematopathology
  3. comprehensive Hematology/Hematopathology didactic lecture series

A fourth, optional component may be taken as an advanced elective following completion of the required rotations.
