The Office of Global Health at Wake Forest University School of Medicine currently has more than 60 core Global Health Affiliates, who come from a variety of clinical disciplines. We are proud of our continued and rapid growth – which started in May 2015, when we selected our first 10 affiliate members.

These members represent a broad group of global health experts and serve to foster the growth and future development of the global health presence at the school of medicine, the Medical Center and beyond.

Affiliates also share their passion and insights through:

  • Teaching in the Global Health certificate program
  • Mentoring of students and trainees for capstone projects and clinical electives
  • Collaboration with faculty leaders at affiliate and collaborative sites to promote scholarship
  • Leading of global health research
  • Participation in service and mission trips
