About Me

I was originally born in Dallas, Texas, but grew up in Myrtle Beach, S.C., where I spent most of my time either on the beach or the golf course. I later attended the Honors College at the College of Charleston where I worked as an emergency medical technician (EMT) and received degrees in Spanish and biology. I stayed in Charleston for a year after graduation to work at a local marina, as well as an emergency department. I then moved inland to Columbia and attended medical school at the University of South Carolina. It was there that I met my wife, Alyssa, who is a pediatric resident here at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. When not in the hospital, I enjoy spending time outside, working around the house, and exploring all that Winston-Salem has to offer with my wife and co-residents!
