About Me

My research focuses on the mechanisms and prediction of atrial fibrillation, with an emphasis on the role of circulating biomarkers and imaging markers in disease development. I investigate how metabolic and cardiac biomarkers including ketone bodies, natriuretic peptides, and cardiac troponins, along with imaging markers of subclinical cardiovascular disease, are associated with incident atrial fibrillation and related outcomes. Using large population-based cohorts such as MESA and UK Biobank, my work aims to improve understanding of atrial fibrillation pathophysiology and develop multimodal strategies for earlier risk stratification and prevention.
