The purpose of the CTSI Research Administration Core is to provide pricing guidance and invoicing structure for the “at-cost” research services provided to early career, experienced, and non-faculty investigators.
Invoiced Core Services
- Biostatistics
- The Biostatistics team provides investigators with research design and interpretation expertise. Services include Pre-Award (grant development) and Post-Award (data analysis). Pre-award support includes hypothesis development, statistical methods, and sample size estimation. Post-award support includes data entry and management, data analysis, interpretation, and preparation of results for publications.
- Clinical Research Unit (CRU)
- The Clinical Research Unit (CRU) provides space, bionutrition, laboratory, and patient care services for approved studies. The CRU's main location is on the first floor of the Sticht Center for Aging. CRU staff work closely with investigators and their study teams to provide high-quality services for all types of studies including industry, federal, and investigator-initiated sponsored research.
- Data/Informatics
- Data analysts query clinical data for cohort identification and pull detailed data for approved research projects. Available data includes demographics, diagnoses, procedures, medications, lab results, vitals, and visit details from the medical record.
- Program Evaluation
- The Evaluation and Continuous Improvement team provides evaluation design support, survey/interview guide development and support with conducting one-on-one interviews or focus groups.
- REDCap
- The REDCap team offers project development support, introductory and advanced classes, and one-on-one consultations to discuss your project and provide feedback.
- Study Coordinator
- Coordinators offer services such as the preparation and submission of IRB applications, preparation and maintenance of regulatory binders, develop study documents, assist in negotiation and preparation of budgets, recruit and screen participants, conduct study visits, collect data, draw and process specimens, and track study finances.
