Vera Luther, MD, Professor of Infectious Diseases (ID) and Director of the ID Fellowship Program, has been elected President of the Association of Specialty Professors (ASP), a founding member organization of the Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine. Her term began on Friday, July 1, 2022.
The ASP, founded in 1994, is the organization of specialty internal medicine divisions at medical schools and community teaching hospitals in the United States and Canada; the association represents fellowship program directors, division chiefs and any physician faculty involved in an accredited internal medicine subspecialty fellowship program or its division.
