Michelle Mielke, PhD, chair and professor of epidemiology and prevention, recently attended the first-ever White House Conference on Women’s Health Research hosted by President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden.
Around 200 academic researchers, women’s health advocates, business and philanthropic leaders, investors and federal agency representatives attended the event and discussed scientific innovations in women’s health care.
The Biden administration launched an initiative last year aimed at closing the decades-long gap in women’s health research.
