Two studies conducted by Andrew South, M.D., M.S., associate professor of pediatrics – nephrology, were recently published by the American Heart Association (AHA).
The first study focused on long-term cardiovascular health of women with complicated pregnancies and their affected offspring. The second study presented evidence on how high blood pressure childhood is associated with both cardiovascular disease (CVD) events and intermediate markers of CVD in adulthood.
The AHA has been a leading source of health information for nearly a century and is dedicated to ensuring equitable health in all communities. Through collaboration with numerous organizations, and powered by millions of volunteers, they fund innovative research, advocate for the public’s health and share lifesaving resources.
