About Me
I earned my Master of Science degree in Nurse Anesthesia at Georgetown University Nurse Anesthesia Program and my Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In my long journey of nurse anesthesia practice, I have worked in a variety of roles that inform my perspective, including as a chief nurse anesthetist, a corporate safety CRNA, a staff CRNA, an educator, and nurse researcher. As an Assistant Professor of Nurse Anesthesia at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Department of Anesthesiology and Nurse Anesthesia Program, I look forward to bringing these experiences to the classroom and clinical area for the benefit of the students. My academic interests are in the area of green initiatives within anesthesia and healthcare, mechanisms of safety in anesthesia practice, and being an advocate for diversity equity and inclusion within the field of nurse anesthesia.
