About Me
I am a board-certified rheumatologist. As a rheumatologist I specialize in autoimmune connective tissue diseases and inflammatory arthritides like rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, psoriatic arthritis to name a few. After I finished my training from Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, I joined West Virginia University as an Assistant Professor and later Associate Program Director and helped start their new fellowship training program to help improve access to rheumatology services for the state. I am excited to join Wake Forest School of Medicine and hope to continue to educate my patients about their disease process and to help train future rheumatologists to be compassionate healthcare providers. In my spare time, I enjoy travelling and cooking with my husband, Asad.
