About Me

I am a professor in the Department of Biostatistics and Data Science, Division of Public Health Sciences, Wake Forest University School of Medicine. I also serve on the Wake Forest University Health Sciences' Institutional Review Board (IRB).

My Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree is in biostatistics and my research efforts have spanned areas of statistical application and collaboration in disease screening; aging and cognitive functioning, decline and impairment; rare neurologic diseases and neurologic diseases and conditions more broadly; depressive symptoms, depression and psychosocial comorbidities in general; vaccines, immunization, epidemiologic spread and disease burden in infectious disease; overweight and obesity; and inflammatory markers and iron stores.

I also have a Master of Science degree in human genetics, which has led to additional efforts in the Women's Health Initiative (WHI), WHI Memory Study (WHIMS), WHI SNP Health Association Resource (WHI-SHARe) and the Trans-Omics for Precision Medicine (TOPMed) Program.

In addition, I have interest and expertise in foundations of statistics, statistical inference and likelihoods.
