About Me
I attended Emory University for college and UNC Chapel Hill School of Medicine. I completed residency at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Otolaryngology in 2000. I am board certified in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery (2001). I chaired the AAO-HNS Committee on Allergy, Immunology, and Asthma for several years. I served as President of the AAOA (2016-17) and was on the Board of Directors for several years. I previously served as the AAOA Coordinator for Education, Course Director of the Basic and MOC courses, and Course Faculty. I am on the Editorial Board of International Forum of Allergy and Rhinology and am the Associate Editor for Allergy and International submissions for Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. I served as an author for the AAO-HNS Guidelines for Allergic Rhinitis, Assistant Chair for the Opioids Prescribing AAO HNS CPG, and an author on IFAR’s International Consensus Statement for Allergic Rhinitis. I’ve won the a national teaching award, “The Golden Apple”, from the AAOA and the Wake Forest School of Medicine Otolaryngology Teaching Award three times.
