About Me
I am a professor at the Institute for Regenerative Medicine, Wake Forest University School of Medicine, specializing in bioactive scaffolds for tissue regeneration and delivery systems for cells and therapeutic molecules in regenerative engineering. My expertise spans stem cell therapies, nano- and microspheres, liposomes, hydrogels, and bioinks for 3D printing, with a particular focus on wound healing, muscle, and bone regeneration.
Passionate about mentoring, I have guided over 100 students and early-career researchers. My commitment to clinical translation includes collaborations with regulatory agencies to support clinical trials and commercialization, driving innovative treatments toward real-world impact.
With over 150 peer-reviewed publications and multiple patents, I have been honored with prestigious awards, including the TERMIS International Fellowship and the KTERMS Award.
