About Me

I am a seasoned neonatal nurse practitioner with over 20 years of NICU experience.  My NNP journey began at Duke University School of Nursing where I earned my MSN and later DNP.  Since 2012, I have focused on improving preterm infant outcomes and advancing neonatal care through evidence-based practice and quality improvement. I completed formal QI training at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center focused on Model for Improvement methodology.  Currently, my passion is preparing our DNP scholars to lead evidence-based practice changes, influence policy and equip them to meet the complex demands of modern healthcare and lead improvements across the healthcare spectrum. My philosophy of teaching is to foster an environment that promotes active learning, encourages intellectual curiosity, and nurtures professional growth.
