The NeuroNEXT Fellow Award provides 1 year of support to an early-career research faculty. This Fellowship is offered through the Department of Neurology, and is supported the NIH-funded NeuroNEXT Network award.

In addition to offering this Fellowship to train promising early investigators, the NeuroNEXT Network seeks to:

  • Increase efficiency of clinical trials
  • Expand the capability of NINDS to test promising new therapies
  • Respond quickly as opportunities arise to test promising new treatments for people with neurological disorders

Fellows will receive 50% of protected time (salary support) for the year. The time is spent furthering their research career goals. This protected time will be used to participate and network with other national fellows in monthly NeuroNEXT trainings and webinars, and offer an opportunity for the Fellow to complete coursework tailored to their research career goals which can include conduct a pilot study to collect initial data for a future larger grant submission, etc.
