Pillars and Strategic Goals

Innovation

1. Continuously review and update the MD program curriculum to incorporate cutting-edge educational approaches that promote equity to enhance clinical care, technology integration, and interdisciplinary learning experiences.

2. Establish an academic environment that promotes innovation, facilitates growth, fosters scholarly inquiry, and enhances the educational experience for faculty, staff, and students through the creation of a new campus.

3. Integrate technology and digital tools to enhance admissions, teaching, learning, and assessment in the MD program.

4. Expand data gathering, reporting, and dissemination technology to guide decision-making and foster innovation throughout the MD program.

Community Engagement

1. To create and foster new mutually beneficial relationships and collaborations with community partners that promote sustained impact and influence change bidirectionally.

2. Provide targeted and impactful opportunities for faculty, staff, and students to actively participate in activities within the community.

3. Implement effective bi-directional communication strategies to enhance trust and transparency by listening to community needs and creating opportunities to keep the community informed about the MD program's initiatives, achievements, and opportunities for involvement.

1. Establish our MD program as one of the most diverse and inclusive medical environments in the nation through developing measurable diversity goals and regularly tracking and disseminating progress towards achievement.

Promote the MD program's innovative initiatives, projects, and accomplishments through press releases, media coverage, and targeted communication efforts, and by disseminating success stories and achievements of faculty, staff, students, and alumni who have implemented innovative approaches to medical education.
