The Supporting Health and Empowerment through Contingency Management and Affect Regulation for Equity and Success for all study aims to develop and optimize a scalable, HIV risk reduction intervention for stimulant-using women who inject drugs (WWID) in North Carolina.
Design Approach
Grounded in human-centered design and guided by implementation science frameworks, the study integrates contingency management (CM) and positive affect (PA) enhancement strategies into a tailored, women-centered intervention.
Methodology
Using a sequential mixed-methods approach, researchers will engage WWID and key stakeholders to identify barriers and facilitators to implementing CM+PA strategies.
Intervention Details
The resulting intervention, Supporting Health and Empowerment through Contingency Management and Affect Regulation for Equity and Success for all, will be refined through a Discover/Design/Build/Test process to ensure it is effective, scalable, and responsive to the unique needs of this population.
